Role Scope:
We are looking for our first Director of Partnership Operations to lead and execute key partnership collaborations, starting with our first joint venture partnership with Kaiser Permanente. In this role, you will ensure strategic alignment between both organizations, coordinating cross-functionally across operational, clinical, and technical teams, tracking progress, and managing partner relationships to deliver impactful results.
You will oversee partnership operations as it relates to building and operating our joint venture PACE centers, ensuring seamless collaboration between our internal teams—such as growth, clinical operations, communications, health plan, and IT—and our partners’ teams to achieve our objectives and address challenges quickly. As Habitat Health continues to expand, this role will be pivotal to the success of our partnerships, as you build and develop a dedicated team.
Core Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Partnership Operating Model
- Design and implement an operating model with clear cadence, content, and defined roles at each development stage and organizational level.
- Prepare and manage detailed work plans across key workstreams, both internally and externally, to meet critical milestones.
- Partner cross-functionally with clinical, technology, and operations teams, both internally and within partner organizations, to ensure highly coordinated and effective partnerships that achieve critical goals
- Facilitate cross-team communication to resolve roadblocks and ensure progress-to-plan.
- Lay the groundwork for alignment and drive accountability by connecting operational teams, without duplicating existing workflows.
- Partnership & Relationship Management:
- Drive regular outreach efforts and evaluate relationship health, addressing stakeholder needs and adapting engagement strategies as necessary.
- Enhance Habitat’s relationship equity throughout partner organizations by building trust and fostering collaboration.
- Lead team-building initiatives such as monthly newsletters, participant testimonial updates, partnership events, and recognition of milestones and successes.
- Develop and deliver content for joint and internal leadership meetings, including onboarding workshops, lunch-and-learns, and office hours.
- Proactively manage crises by creating risk communication playbooks, identifying concerns early, and following established escalation steps.
- Maintain up-to-date partner stakeholder map with critical information
- Performance Tracking & Risk Management:
- Develop KPIs and metrics to measure partnership success and the progress of implementation efforts.
- Standardize reporting templates and cycles to provide actionable insights to stakeholders, partnering with BizOps to ensure alignment on weekly and monthly reporting of key metrics.
- Track and report on key milestones, identifying areas of risk and ensuring corrective actions are taken as needed.
- Proactively identify potential risks in the partnership or implementation process and develop mitigation strategies.
- Communication Strategy:
- Maintain regular internal communications, including team syncs, updates, and clear tracking of goals and milestones for accountability.
- Oversee partner-facing communications such as status reports, joint planning meetings, and resolution of issues.
- Manage external communications, including press releases, social media campaigns, and news outlet coverage to highlight partnership successes and milestones.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time, depending on location you may travel less.
Experience that drives success in this role:
- 5-7+ years of experience in consulting, healthcare operations, business development, or at a healthcare startup particularly in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong strategic thinking, relationship management, and project management skills.
- Ability to navigate complex corporate structures and align competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills to track performance metrics and drive improvements.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and change often experienced in a startup environment.
Nice to have experience:
- Experience at early-stage healthcare startups.
Compensation:
We consider an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining a final rate of pay. The expected annual salary range for this role is $150,000-165,000 and is a bonus-eligible position. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location.
