ScrumMaster

Lincoln, NE, United States; Omaha, NE, United States

At Hudl, we build great teams. We hire the best of the best to ensure you’re working with people you can constantly learn from. You’re trusted to get your work done your way while testing the limits of what’s possible and what’s next. We work hard to provide a culture where everyone feels supported, and our employees feel it—their votes helped us become one of Newsweek's Top 100 Global Most Loved Workplaces.

We think of ourselves as the team behind the team, supporting the lifelong impact sports can have: the lessons in teamwork and dedication; the influence of inspiring coaches; and the opportunities to reach new heights. That’s why we help teams from all over the world see their game differently. Our products make it easier for coaches and athletes at any level to capture video, analyze data, share highlights and more.

Ready to join us?

Your Role

We’re looking for a ScrumMaster to join our team and help us build the future of sports technology. You’ll be a servant leader for your squad, guiding them through the Scrum framework to deliver game-changing value to our customers while fostering a culture of trust and continuous improvement. Coaches, athletes, and families around the world count on Hudl to stay organized and stay sharp, and we're looking for a brilliant ScrumMaster to help build products that solve real problems for real users.

As a ScrumMaster, you’ll:

  • Assist your teams. You’ll utilize your knowledge and experience of Agile frameworks to coach and empower your teams, while being flexible with changing needs.
  • Prioritize efficiency. You’ll help your squad move toward predictable, high-quality delivery by removing impediments, mitigating technical collisions and adjusting plans to support seamless delivery.
  • Drive outcome-focused decisions. You’ll partner with Product Owners to clarify vision and strategy, guiding the team toward decisions that solve real problems for our users.
  • Focus on the customer. You’ll encourage direct feedback loops and ensure your team stays focused on delivering measurable outcomes that make our users' lives easier.
  • Champion Agile. As a member of our global Scrum Chapter, you’ll stay current on Lean and Agile innovations and share that expertise to improve our practices across the company.
  • Be part of a team. You’ll be supported by other Scrum Masters, with a work environment centered on transparency, empathy, trust and encouragement. We want to be the best we can be—and have fun while we do it.

For this role, we're currently considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our offices in Lincoln or Omaha. But with our flexible work policy, there aren't any current requirements for the number of days you come to the office.

Must-Haves

  • An experienced coach. You have one to three years of experience as a ScrumMaster and hold a Certified ScrumMaster credential.
  • A dynamic presence. You're a catalyst for momentum, bringing an infectious and positive spirit to every team environment that motivates others to do their best work.
  • A true leader who serves. You know how to improve productivity and guide teams through "inspect and adapt" cycles without resorting to command and control tactics.
  • A team builder. You foster a safe environment where squad members feel comfortable testing new ideas, giving #realtalk and resolving conflicts.
  • A trusted partner. You make each team you’ve worked on better by building strong relationships steeped in trust and collaboration.
  • A champion of quality. You guide Agile teams to deliver high-quality, working software frequently—quality is never an afterthought.
  • A strong communicator. You can engage and align with stakeholders at all levels, clearly express trade-offs, and generate an understanding of solutions that are best for everyone.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Data fluent. You have an eye for squad health trends and know exactly what to measure to help a team thrive.
  • A constant learner. You’re passionate about applying new Scrum or Lean innovations to your work and enjoy mentoring others.
  • Diverse toolbelt. You understand the benefits of multiple product development frameworks—such as Lean, Waterfall, Kanban, Scrum, etc.—as well as their unique value and how they can complement each other to drive effective outcomes.
  • Familiarity with hybrid teams. Our product teams are spread across the U.S., with people working both in-office and remotely. If you’ve worked with hybrid or remote teams before, that would help you adapt more quickly to Hudl’s working environment.
  • A sports-minded perspective. Whether you’ve been a coach, an athlete or a die-hard fan, you can use your personal history with sports or Hudl products to build empathy for our users and shape how you lead teams.

Our Role

  • Champion work-life harmony. We’ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.
  • Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you’ll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
  • Encourage career growth. We’re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We’ll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
  • Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether you’re at the office or working remotely, we’ll provide you the tech stack and hardware to do your best work.
  • Support your mental and physical health. We care about our employees’ wellbeing. Our Employee Assistance Program, employee resource groups and fitness partner Peerfit have you covered.
  • Cover your medical insurance. We have multiple plans to pick from to ensure you’ll have the coverage you (and your dependents) want, including vision, dental, fertility healthcare and family forming benefits.
  • Contribute to your 401(K). Yep, that’s free money. We’ll match up to 4% of your own contribution.
