This is Hybrid role (3 days in office /2 days remote)
About your Team:
Interactive Brokers is looking to hire Legal Operations Assistant in our Chicago or Greenwich offices. We seek a bright and organized professional to serve as a Legal Operations Assistant to work on vendor contracts, regulatory, litigation and corporate matters for IBKR. This position requires a highly organized person who can multitask and quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting in-house attorneys in management of various matters and projects.
- Review, archiving, and organization of contracts, court orders, tax levies and other records.
- 25% time supporting legal team that manages negative equity accounts and collection litigation.
- Support legal operations software and platforms, including contracts database.
- Become proficient with the firm’s case management tool, IBKR360, to ensure all activities are effectively documented in compliance with internal standards.
- Assist in developing and implementing policy templates, documentation standards, and knowledge-sharing processes across regional teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college/university (minimum GPA: 3.0).
- Client / customer facing experience is a plus.
- Paralegal certification or experience is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in a legal setting or the financial services industry is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- A high degree of comfort and fluency with computers and technology, an understanding of how technology is applied to business or an ability to develop this rapidly.
- Experience using the following programs is a plus: SimpleLegal, Ironclad, Atlassian / Jira suite, and Procurement Systems.
