Job Description & Requirements:
 
Interactive Brokers (“IBKR”) is seeking an Operations Analyst to join our Global Customer Account Transfers team.  As part of the Global Account Transfers team, you will play an important role in building the IBKR business.  IBKR clients, particularly those with newly opened accounts, often request to transfer their asset portfolios into their IBKR account from their former broker or financial institution.  It is critically important that IBKR complete such customer account transfers with a high degree of success and with low-touch efficiency. 
 
IBKR has developed a state-of-the-art proprietary Transfer System.  In addition to your role in executing customer account transfers, the ideal candidate will also be challenged to contribute to the development of the Transfer System to achieve higher degrees of operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and/or to support new business or investment products.  If you are enthusiastic about the financial markets, enjoy problem solving, working with sophisticated computer systems and their developers, and are looking to be a difference maker in a growing company, we welcome your application. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with opposing financial institutions to efficiently settle asset transfers.
  • Managing settlement details in IBKR’s proprietary systems and external depositories.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate settlement of client assets
  • Coordinating with IBKR Customer Service to accurately inform customers on transfer statuses.
  • Evaluate processes and systems and contribute to the development of these systems to achieve higher degrees of operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and/or to support new business or investment products.
Qualifications and Skill:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economic or Mathematics preferred.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the drive to efficiently maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills and competency with MS Office products preferred.
