ID.me is looking for a highly experienced Software Development Manager IV to lead the Profiles team, responsible for the attribute lifecycle management experience of our 137M+ members. The team is tasked to model all member data into an identity graph, the foundation to our current customer success and future product growth. In addition, the team is enhancing the My Account experience, ensuring data retention compliance, and advancing our identity resolution capabilities. This role is a highly critical leadership position that will drive engineering excellence and strategic execution within a high-impact team.
This role sits in Mountain View, CA and has an onsite component of 5 days per week onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Define and execute the technical vision for My Account, ensuring a seamless and secure user experience.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Identity Graph to optimize identity management solutions.
- Ensure data retention policies align with compliance and regulatory requirements, working closely with legal and security teams.
- Drive initiatives for identity resolution, leveraging advanced algorithms and scalable architectures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Security, Compliance, and Infrastructure to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Establish engineering best practices, including code reviews, automated testing, and deployment pipelines to ensure system reliability and maintainability.
- Manage team performance, set goals, and drive accountability to meet business objectives.
- Provide technical and strategic leadership, advocating for best-in-class engineering methodologies and tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 15+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 8+ years in an engineering management role.
- Strong technical background in software architecture, distributed systems, and identity management solutions.
- Proven track record delivering large scale SaaS products and features.
- Expertise in agile methodologies and continuous integration/deployment practices.
- Hands-on experience with building highly scalable products and solutions on relational databases, with a focus on security and reliability.
- Expertise in data retention strategies and regulatory compliance related to identity and access management.
- Experience leading and growing high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working on one of the major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business impact.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in identity verification, authentication, or security-related domains.
- Experience building a product from 0 to 1.
- Familiarity with identity resolution techniques and technologies.

The annual base salary listed does not include a company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity and benefits which will be determined based on experience, skills, education, relevant training, geographic location and role.

$235,000 - $267,438 USD
