Role Overview

The Senior Manager of Training & Performance will be responsible for overseeing the creation, implementation, and management of employee development programs that enhance skills, improve productivity, and build leadership capabilities. This role ensures that all training initiatives align with ID.me’s strategic goals, culture, and business needs. In addition to leading learning programs, the Senior Manager Training & Performance will foster a high-performance, growth-driven culture across the organization and support employee engagement strategies. The Senior Manager of Training & Performance plays a critical role in developing a continuous learning environment, ensuring employees are engaged, motivated, and progressing in their careers.

This opportunity is located onsite at ID.me’s headquarters in Tysons Corner 5 days a week and is not able to be done remotely.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of training professionals, set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback to team members, ensuring continuous professional growth and skill development
  • Identify learning needs across Member Support and develop a comprehensive learning strategy that aligns with ID.me’s long-term growth goals and supports the continuous development of all employees
  • Develop personalized learning paths using multiple modalities that fosters a culture of continuous learning by creating accessible content that encourages employees and managers to engage regularly and take ownership of their professional development
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and demonstrate their impact on employee performance and company success
  • Design, develop, and implement training programs, content and materials across the multiple areas of member support/ member experience processes, systems, technical and additional areas as deemed important to ID.me’s success 
  • Evaluate and ensure that our current learning platform, XXX LMS, meets the company's evolving needs, and recommend scalable, efficient solutions that provide seamless access to employees at all levels
  • Partner with key stakeholders across departments in Member Support/ Member Experience to ensure learning initiatives are aligned with company-wide objectives and tailored to meet the unique needs of these teams, ensuring relevance and impact
  • Provide regular reporting to leadership on the progress and outcomes of learning initiatives, making adjustments as needed to drive continuous improvement
  • Stay updated with industry trends and introduce innovative learning solutions (e.g., virtual learning, AI-based learning tools)

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of people management experience required, preferably in a corporate training, Learning & Development or Operational environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of program or project management experience required, preferably within an SaaS startup work environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets) or similar collaboration tools
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with a Learning Management System platform and authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Rise, Google Suite)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Ability and willingness to work in-office five days per week
  • A “how can we make this better?” mentality. You recognize that “perfect” is not an end state, and continually drive for improvement.
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, engaging content
  • Passion for fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, leading collaboration as required with teams from across the organization.
  • Strong program/project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously focused on solving problems and delivering results
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment when there are changing priorities 
  • Ability to be a detail-oriented team player with a strong, self-managing work ethic
  • Proficiency in using Mac operating systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven and evidence-based approach to decision-making and influencing
  • Experience with with graphic design and content creation preferred
