Marketing Manager, Events, Partnerships and Community Operations - Chicago

Chicago

About the Role

We’re on the lookout for a highly motivated Marketing Manager to orchestrate events, partnerships, and activations that engage our current and future community members to help us meet our ambitious growth and member engagement goals. Specifically, you’ll lead live events, partnerships, and activations that engage our large and growing member base, help bring our national brand partnerships to life, and plan both internal and external events that help us engage with future Enterprise and Small Business customers.  If you’re a natural at crafting memorable experiences, sweating the details, and building connections, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll be expected to work in person at least 2 days/week at one of our locations in either Chicago or NYC with US-based travel to facilitate on-site events up to 30% of the time.

What You’ll Do:

  • Envision, plan, and deliver stellar live and digital events, from conferences and webinars, to events across the Industrious network that support both new business and current members, ensuring they reflect our brand’s ethos; welcoming, empowering, and delighting our members!

  • Own the end-to-end event production and execution (planning, project management, marketing promotion, KPI’s, budget, etc.)

  • Partner with internal local teams and trusted vendors to bring seamless, high-quality experiences to life.

  • Own event operations end-to-end, including implementing and owning new tools, developing more streamlined solutions and processes, and identifying areas where we can be more efficient as we continue to scale.

  • Develop event marketing goals and work cross-functionally to track key performance metrics and provide insightful event recaps with the goal of continuous improvement.

  • Work closely with the marketing team (growth, social, content, creative etc.) to develop event promotion/launch plan strategies and post-event content.

  • Spot opportunities to forge meaningful partnerships that align with our values, amplify our reach, and enrich our members’ experience.

  • Take the reins in managing nationally-led brand and member experience partnerships, activations, and experiences ensuring they resonate and drive impact.

  • Identify and negotiate partnerships that will help us improve our member experience, reduce our costs, and bolster our brand affinity.

  • Seamlessly weave events, partnerships, and community strategies into our broader marketing vision.

  • Be a trusted collaborator with teams across Unit Ops, SMB and Enterprise Sales, and Marketing ensuring a unified and impactful approach.

  • Stay ahead of the curve, bringing fresh ideas and best practices to every project.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

  • At least 2+ years experience in event marketing and management with experience independently executing end-to-end activations for 50+ people.

  • Highly proactive, organized, and able to manage many projects cross-departmentally and with several partners at once.

  • A communicator extraordinaire who thrives in collaborative, cross-functional environments.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity while maintaining focus and clarity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in sourcing, negotiating, and executing national brand partnerships with a track record of driving results with happy partners.

  • Experience with marketing platforms and tools, with a knack for leveraging them to achieve goals. We currently use Air Table, Hubspot, and Luma.
