
Head of ESG (Fixed-Term Contract)
The Role
The Head of ESG will continue the implementation of Inizio's global Sustainability Strategy under the pillars of environmental, social, and governance (ESG), ensuring that Inizio meets its internal and external reporting obligations, including those relating to regulatory reporting frameworks. As Head of ESG, you will manage a small team comprising an ESG Controller and a Sustainability Data Analyst and collaborate with our key function leaders, our business units, and our external stakeholders, most notably our private equity investors.
This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract reporting to our Group Corporate Development Director. We operate a hybrid-working arrangement with 2 days per week in our office in Citywest, and 3 days remote-working.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and expertise on best practice reporting by supporting the preparation for reporting against CSRD, IFRS S1 and S2, and the GRI Standards.
- Work with the Corporate Communications team and external design agency to project manage the development of the annual Sustainability Report.
- Manage Inizio's annual submission to CDP and EcoVadis, including other sustainability filings as they arise.
- Work with colleagues from across Inizio to increase awareness of sustainability issues and goals, and work with the ESG team and Sustainability Working Groups to identify actions and projects that can expedite Inizio's transition to net zero and the achievement of our science-based targets.
- Help develop a supply chain sustainability program across Inizio. Engage with vendor management processes and relevant partners to implement and monitor our suppliers' sustainability performance.
- Manage relationships with Inizio's corporate charities and the rollout of Inizio's Community Action Day.
- Present updates through formal reports and bulletins for the Executive team, Sustainability Committee, and Board.
What you bring to the role
- Third-level degree in a relevant subject area e.g. Law, Governance, Finance or Environmental Sustainability.
- 8+ years experience working in corporate reporting, sustainability, or governance within professional services or a public company role.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications.
- Experience with corporate reporting, preferably in a public company environment.
- The ability to analyse ESG legislation and other ESG regulatory frameworks applicable to our organisation. Experience translating difficult concepts into succinct summaries.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to engage with senior partners, both internal and external.
- Keen attention to detail, coupled with a steadfast commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
- Proactive self-starter, who is able to thrive independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
