About the Role
As a Software Product Manager, you will be at the heart of our product lifecycle—from vision to delivery. Your role will encompass strategy, design, execution, and customer alignment. You will lead cross-functional teams (including offshore talent), shape the roadmap, ensure high-quality deliverables, and champion customer success.

This position is crucial to driving product development, support excellence, continuous improvement, and keeping pace with industry trends. Your leadership will directly impact customer retention and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, understand, and document customers' business needs by directly engaging with them or collaborating with implementation teams.
  • Create functional and technical designs including use cases, mockups, process flows, and data flow diagrams; estimate development effort and prepare Statements of Work for customer approval.
  • Guide offshore teams to ensure development is completed as per requirements, within deadlines, and meets performance and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers to ensure seamless software integration across the product suite.
  • Ensure all product-related documentation and training materials are well-maintained and promptly updated; deliver training during new team onboarding and when new features are released.
  • Engage with external business partners to manage third-party software integrations effectively.
  • Take ownership of product quality by identifying factors that impact performance and mitigating potential risks early.
  • Leverage internal quality programs and frameworks to deliver high-quality product features.
  • Act as an escalation point for customer support issues and ensure timely resolution in alignment with SLAs.
  • Embrace a culture of continuous improvement across feature sets, product quality, customer utilization, market competitiveness, and overall success.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support customer success from pre-sales to post go-live and beyond.
  • Maintain a strong focus on minimizing support issues by addressing root causes, eliminating bugs, and ensuring intuitive product features.
  • Coach offshore teams to improve estimation accuracy and better assess capacity requirements.
  • Foster the growth of offshore teams by enhancing their technical knowledge, analytical capabilities, and leadership skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Overall 10+ years of experience is required. 5+ years of experience in product management preferably in Commodity Trading and related Logistics.
  • 8+ years of business analysis or equivalent functional experience.
  • Strong domain expertise in:
    • Logistics, Dispatching, Petroleum Wholesale Distribution
    • Commodity Trading and related Logistics
  • Hands-on experience with ERP development or implementation projects.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, including technical documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS SQL is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a programming role is a plus.
  • Prior experience working in a software company environment is desirable.
