
MySQL Database Administrator

Note, this role will be required to work from our Concord, MA office at least 3 days per week.
In this role, you will:
- Assist the database operations team to support the monitoring, availability and performance of database systems and related services
- Manage account creation, privileges, backups, infrastructure automation configuration and bash scripts
- Work with engineering teams to implement solutions and fixes as well as advise on standard processes
- Participate in on-call pager rotation
- Track release notes and conduct upgrades to guarantee that the most recent security and bug fixes are applied
- Assist in the design, development and documentation of services to support database infrastructure
Please apply if you have:
- 1+ year experience with the following:
- MySQL & PostgreSQL in a 24x7 web facing environment
- Linux (Redhat/CentOS preferred)
- Atlassian Jira
- Experience solving and remediating poorly performing queries
- Scripting skills Ruby/Python/Perl/bash or equivalent
- Good understanding of database backup and recovery strategies
- Ability to detail work and share knowledge with other team members
- Ability to work with developers to solve and remediate exciting database problems
- Strong oral and written English communication skills
