Laborer – Sealcoat & Asphalt Maintenance Technician | Paving Division
 
Keeley Construction – Colorado Springs, CO
 
Keeley Construction is seeking a dedicated and hard-working Laborer / Asphalt Maintenance Technician to join our growing Paving Division in Colorado. This role supports sealcoat operations, asphalt repair, general paving tasks, and light facility maintenance such as fence mending. While sealcoat experience is required, we are looking for versatile team members who are also comfortable performing other hands-on tasks as needed in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all aspects of sealcoat work, including prep, application, and clean-up.
  • Complete asphalt maintenance and repairs such as patching, crack sealing, and surface prep.
  • Mend fences and assist with general site maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Operate small tools and equipment including blowers, squeegees, crack filling machines, spray systems, and power washers.
  • Set up and remove traffic control devices (cones, signs, barricades) to ensure a safe job site.
  • Support general labor tasks: sweeping, raking, shoveling, and cleanup.
  • Signal equipment operators to assist with safe movement and material alignment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site and assist with equipment maintenance.
  • Communicate regularly with team members, supervisors, and clients.
  • Adhere to all Keeley Construction and OSHA safety standards.
  • Consistently document daily tasks and project updates.
  • Be dependable, show up on time, and be ready to work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Sealcoat experience is required.
  • Experience in asphalt work, fencing, or general construction is highly preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (no DUIs in the past three years); CDL is a plus.
  • Ability to work outdoors in physically demanding conditions.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
  • Reliable and consistent attendance is essential.
