Keeley Construction is looking to hire a MSHA Safety Professional for our Industrial Manufacturing team for a project in Ironton, MO. This project is expected to last for 1.5 to 2 years, with the potential for longer if scope increases. The position will start early/mid October. Further opportunities exist for this position within the company based on business needs and performance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures on-site in adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and provide thorough reports with recommendations for prevention.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to address safety concerns and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and advancements in safety technology.
  • Support and lead safety meetings as required.
  • Review and discuss Pre Task Safety Analysis (JSAs, etc.) with team and work to find solutions to gaps as needed.
  • Assess safety on jobsite regularly throughout the day.
  • Deliver and document MSHA required training as needed in a dynamic environment per MSHA requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-3 years (minimum) full time experience managing Industrial Construction with an MSHA regulated site focus.
  • Able to enact and communicate proactive safety measures with field team.
  • Comfortable with leading investigations and determining root cause analysis.
  • Familiar and comfortable with MSHA inspection process.
  • Can fit seamlessly into a people centric culture and whose priority is to work with and support the project team to find solutions that result in the success of the project.
