Area Manager (Asphalt Paving)

This role will be responsible for the overall management and leadership of the Lakeland, FL office specializing in Keeley’s paving services. This role requires a deep understanding of paving operations, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive business growth and ensure the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all branch operations, including project planning, execution, and quality control for paving projects.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the branch's customer base and revenue.
  • Identify new business opportunities, prepare bids and proposals, and negotiate contracts with clients.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of supervisors, project managers, paving crews, and support staff.
  • Provide guidance and training to enhance team performance and promote a safety-focused work environment.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Foster strong client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and delivering high-quality paving solutions.
  • Promote a culture of safety among employees and contractors.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to projects, finances, and client interactions.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on branch performance and progress.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years' in the paving, asphalt, concrete or related industries performing the similar primary responsibilities listed.
  • Strong leadership and management skills in directing an organization, department, or group.
  • Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite
