Traveling Water-Wastewater Superintendent – Central Texas

Keeley Construction is looking for a Traveling Water-Wastewater Superintendent to join our team, specializing in civil and mechanical scopes across water and wastewater treatment plant (WTP/WWTP) projects in Central Texas.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight: Lead construction activities including civil concrete (foundations, slabs, tanks), mechanical piping, and equipment installations (pumps, valves, process systems).
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor foremen, crews, and subcontractors across multiple sites, ensuring productivity and quality.
  • Quality Control: Ensure accuracy in concrete formwork, placement, curing, finishing, and mechanical installations per engineering standards.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA and environmental safety protocols across all job sites.
  • Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents to guide field operations.
  • Budget & Resource Allocation: Track labor, materials, and equipment usage to maintain cost efficiency.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Scheduling & Planning: Develop and manage project schedules, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Procurement & Logistics: Manage sourcing and delivery of concrete, piping, valves, fittings, and mechanical equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience: 8–10 years in civil/mechanical construction, with 5+ years in a supervisory role; experience with WTP/WWTP projects preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of reinforced concrete, mechanical piping systems, and water/wastewater treatment processes.
  • Regulatory Familiarity: Knowledge of building codes, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams and drive results.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with project management and scheduling tools; MS Office Suite.
  • Licensing: Valid driver’s license; OSHA certification preferred.
  • Language Proficiency: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

  • This is a traveling role across Central Texas.
  • All candidates must complete a selection assessment and pre-employment drug screen.
