We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Business Applications to lead our global enterprise application team. This individual will drive the strategy, development, implementation, and support of critical business enablement technology solutions. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring technical expertise, service delivery excellence, and strong business acumen. The role will be responsible for establishing best practices in software, data management, and platform delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Plan
- Define and implement agile delivery best practices, from design to deployment and ongoing support.
- Shape business applications and IT systems architecture, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering comprehensive solutions that enable desired business outcomes.
- Own the overall data architecture and data flow design across systems, ensuring consistency, data integrity, and support for analytics and reporting needs.
- For acquisition targets, perform analysis and gap assessments and recommend integration designs.
- Develop, Deliver, and Support
- Drive and align external staff augmentation or Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to boost capacity and strategic initiatives.
- Own and operate the Salesforce ecosystem integration strategy, including CPQ, and integrations with go-to-market platforms (Salesloft, Chorus), finance systems (NetSuite,
- Descartes), and analytics tools (Snowflake, Looker).
- Manage SOX control and audit processes for all critical applications.
- Drive AI and automation initiatives utilizing AWS and/or 3rd party services to improve internal business effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Build and manage nearshore and offshore delivery teams.
- Collaborate
- Act as a strategic liaison between IT and business leaders, ensuring technology roadmaps align with evolving business priorities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with executive stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment on priorities, resources, and timelines.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations that simplify complex technical topics and communicate business impact.
- Flex and Adapt
- Thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment while driving toward long-term scale and reusability.
- Confidently navigate ambiguity, drawing out key requirements and organizational constraints from unstructured situations.
- Balance the urgency of immediate business needs with the importance of building scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Provide genuine recommendations as to the hiring, firing, promotion, and discipline of subordinate employees to which the Company gives significant weight
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, M.I.S., or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 15+ years experience in IT and application development, with 5+ years in executive or senior leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading enterprise service delivery and application teams in dynamic, high-growth environments.
- Experience building and leading global, distributed teams.
- Hands-on leadership experience with the following technologies is highly preferred:
- Sales and Customer Success: Salesforce, Salesforce CPQ/ Revenue Cloud Advanced (RCA), ZoomInfo, Salesloft, Churn Zero, Chorus, Clay, Gainsight
- Integration Platforms: Celigo, MuleSoft, Boomi
- Finance Systems: NetSuite, Zuora, Descartes, Avalara, BillingPlatform
- Support: Salesforce, ZenDesk
- Data & Infrastructure: Snowflake, Looker, data cataloging and governance tools
- AI and Automation: experience developing and deploying AI models and intelligent
- Automation solutions
- DevOps & Agile Tools: Jira, Confluence, Copado, AWS cloud infrastructure services
The base pay for this position ranges from $250,000 - $280,000, which will vary depending on how well an applicant's skills and experience align with the job description listed above.
