PRESS & PAINT SUPERVISOR

Lasko Products, an industry leader in designing and manufacturing portable fans and heaters for over 100 years, is hiring a first shift Press & Paint Supervisor for our Franklin, Tennessee facility.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Press & Paint Supervisor is responsible for employee oversight, ensuring that the Press & Paint equipment operates efficiently, and implementing policies and procedures to support continuous improvement efforts. This person will work closely with the Press & Paint manager and other department leadership to ensure smooth production of component parts.

This position will report to the Press & Paint Manager and work first shift Monday-Friday with some weekend work as needed.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise the Press & Paint team, and serve as the first point of contact for all employee needs including but not limited to employee conflict resolution, completing timesheets, approving PTO requests, employee training, etc.
  • Monitor work performed by Press & Paint employees to ensure safety and quality standards are being met and assign employee duties as needed to cover absences or vacancies.
  • Perform adjustments on machines and equipment including but not limited to basic troubleshooting and setup to ensure maximum quality of parts being produced.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to determine production and manpower requirements.
  • Constantly maintain and monitor data such as down time and units produced throughout the shift for management visibility and production reporting.
  • Request materials, supplies, equipment, and repairs as needed in the Press & Paint department.
  • Obtain forklift certification and training to cover in the event of forklift operator absence.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience with hydraulic punch presses and dies, resistance welding machinery, and wet/electrostatic paint preferred

EDUCATION, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must be mechanically inclined, proactive, work well under pressure, and possess a strong sense of urgency
  • Detail oriented team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Employee coaching skills and ability to foster a positive team dynamic is a must
