About this position:
This role will work primarily on our affiliate marketing platform, Mavely.
As the Director of Growth and Retention, you will play a strategic leadership role in driving growth and retention for our creator and influencer community. In this role, you will oversee a high-performing team focused on acquiring, engaging, and retaining creators while fostering scalable growth strategies. You will be responsible for shaping and executing initiatives that empower creators to thrive on Mavely’s platform, aligning team efforts with broader company objectives, and building a robust, engaged creator ecosystem. Your expertise in leadership, data-driven strategy, and creator relationship management will be pivotal in scaling Mavely’s high-growth creator program.
What you'll be doing:
Strategic Growth and Retention Leadership of our Mavely managed creators.
- Develop and execute innovative strategies to drive creator acquisition, engagement, and retention, with a strong emphasis on long-term growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, campaigns, support, and operations, to align on creator success strategies and ensure seamless creator experiences.
- Leverage data and industry insights to identify trends, refine processes, and optimize the creator journey from onboarding to activation and retention.
- Partner with executive leadership to align growth and retention objectives with company-wide goals, providing strategic recommendations and updates.
- Proactive Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and inspire a team of Account Managers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and best in class service.
- Establish and track team KPIs, ensuring alignment with Mavely’s growth and retention objectives while providing ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
- Oversee the implementation of tools, resources, and training to enable the team’s success in supporting and engaging creators effectively.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the VP of Creator Success and contribute to organizational initiatives and scaling strategies - with a proactive approach.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Analyze data to monitor creator performance, creator health, and the impact of growth and retention initiatives.
- Implement metrics and reporting frameworks to assess the success of growth and retention efforts.
- Test and iterate on new programs, processes, and outreach techniques to continuously improve outcomes and expand the creator community.
Creator and Influencer Relationship Management
- Oversee programs that deliver high-touch support, education, and guidance to creators to ensure activation, growth, and sustained success on the platform.
- Lead initiatives to evaluate influencer performance, deliver actionable insights, and optimize creator engagement strategies.
Communication and Collaboration
- Act as a key advocate and point of contact for the department, gathering feedback and addressing challenges to drive satisfaction and long-term engagement.
- Collaborate across departments to align on campaign goals, creator needs, and broader retention efforts with a problem solving approach.
- Foster transparency and consistent communication with team members, cross-functional partners, and creators.

- Managing and scaling Account Teams with a proven track record of growth required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in influencer marketing, creator success, or related roles, with a proven track record of driving growth and retention in creator ecosystems.
- 5+ years of experience in leadership and team management, with demonstrated success leading teams in high-growth environments.
- Expertise in data-driven decision-making, including analyzing metrics to inform strategy and evaluate performance.
- Sales and service mindset.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across teams and stakeholders.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for empowering your team and creators to foster their success.

Our approach to compensation:
We take a market-based & data-driven approach to compensation. We leverage data from trusted third-party compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope. We evaluate compensation bi-annually, including performance and market-related factors.
Our salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + commission/variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.
To comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final salary we offer which may vary from the original range posted.
Additionally, all permanent team members are granted stock options and are eligible to participate in various benefits plans as part of their overall compensation package.
Salary Range:
$140,000 - 150,000 base + bonus
