Please note that this is a 6 to 8 months project, and it requires availability from Monday to Friday, 7.30 am to 3.30 pm PST.

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to play a key role in our data migration project. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills in Python, SQL, and DBT, and will be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition from our legacy system to the new platform. Experience with Meltano and Snowflake will be considered a plus. Advanced English proficiency is a must, as you will be collaborating with an international team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the migration process from the legacy system to the new data platform.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes using Python, SQL, and DBT.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure seamless integration.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability throughout the migration process.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues during and after the migration.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
  • Utilize Meltano and Snowflake to enhance data integration and management processes (nice to have).

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience of +4 years as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and DBT.
  • Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development.
  • Knowledge of Meltano and Snowflake is a plus.
  • Advanced English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data migration projects.
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture and data modeling principles.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
