About the Job
The salary range for this position is $211,630 to $287,000. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary- therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
What You’ll Do
- Manage a team of DevOps engineers and assess and analyze Life360's infrastructure systems, policies, and procedures from a DevOps perspective to oversee optimal functioning of our server infrastructure.
- Oversee ongoing analysis and evaluation of performance, reliability, health, security, and scalability to establish clear project scope, plans, resources, and timelines.
- Exercise decision-making authority over the allocation of resources, including technical assets and capacities, to ensure the successful implementation and execution of DevOps projects.
- Collaborate with various development teams, technical leaders, and clients to identify and discuss DevOps requirements and specifications to help shape strategy and execution roadmap.
- Lead research and identification of project requirements, objectives, and specifications within the DevOps environment to lead complex technical discussions with Life360 engineering teams.
- Manage identification of critical elements, root cause issues to provide concrete design, reliability, and performance recommendations.
- Design and implement best practices, policies, and procedures to improve, standardize and implement workflows, ensuring optimal efficiency of our operations, projects, and workflows.
- Oversee hiring of DevOps engineers while ensuring a high hiring bar, keeping the team motivated, and providing coaching/mentoring and handling performance management.
- May telecommute.
What We’re Looking For
- Employer will accept 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a DevOps and/or Software Engineering related occupation along with two years of technical management experience in the related field.
- Any suitable combination of education training, or experience is acceptable.
