Position: Executive Director, Residential Withdrawal Management
Job Summary: The Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operation of the residential withdrawal management facility. This role ensures the facility provides high-quality, client-centered care while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. The Director will oversee the day-to-day operations, staff management, P&L responsibility, and strategic development of the site to support individuals undergoing withdrawal from substances in a safe, supportive environment. This position reports to the VP of Operations and supervises clinical and support staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Manage day-to-day operations of a 24/7 residential facility providing ASAM 3.7 and 3.5 levels of care
- Oversee a multidisciplinary team, including medical, counseling, administrative, and support staff.
- Monitor staffing levels and manage scheduling, participate in the process of hiring of new staff as
- Collaborate with clinical and medical leaders to develop and maintain effective withdrawal management protocols.
- Manage the facility’s budget, ensuring financial sustainability while delivering quality care.
- Oversee scheduling, facility maintenance, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.
- Implement safety and emergency preparedness plans, ensuring a secure environment for staff and clients.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring the timely procurement of essential supplies and services.
- Responsible for assigning caseloads, duties and responsibilities and monitoring documentation for completion and accuracy.
- Represent the facility in community events, advocacy efforts, and public relations initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand the site budget and optimize resource
- Observe service delivery to ensure the standard of quality is maintained and
- Responsible for maintaining bed capacity requirements.
- Ensure facility is appropriately staffed 24/7, respond to client issues and emergencies as needed outside of regular business hours.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience/Certifications:
- Master's degree in business, healthcare administration, social work, nursing, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a residential or detox facility
- Previous experience in a management and leadership position
- Ability to pass BCI check, employment drug screen, and applicable compliance checks
Desired experience/certifications
- Active RN, LISW, LPCC, or LICDC license
- Proven track record in program development, budget management, and team leadership
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, responding to client issues and emergencies as needed outside of regular business hours.
Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 annually
