ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Senior Product Quality Engineer will play a critical role throughout the entire product lifecycle — from concept and design through production, deployment, and end-of-life. This individual will collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Quality teams to define product quality criteria, and validation methods that ensure exceptional performance and reliability. The ideal candidate is a proactive technical leader who can influence cross-functional stakeholders through data-driven insights, clear communication, and decisive action. Occasional travel will be required to support product builds, testing, and corrective-actions.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with Product Management, Design, and Manufacturing teams to balance cost, development, quality, and user experience.

Drive design decisions using technical expertise, test and field data and risk analysis.

Lead development builds to ensure design, manufacturing processes, equipment, and suppliers are ready for mass production.

Define and own product quality criteria, validation methods, and test standards from concept through end of life.

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and correlate lab testing to real-world use cases.

Manage testing at test houses and manufacturing partners.

Analyze test data and provide clear recommendations for product release, improvements, and corrective actions.

Promote organizational adoption of quality tools and best practices, to enhance development efficiency and product robustness.
QUALIFICATIONS

B.S. degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in the development and manufacture of electronic devices.

Experience with new product introduction process, electro-mechanical assembly, MFG processes, fixture design, Mechanical modeling and quality statistics.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally to partner and test locations.

Hands on experience with test equipment and general shop tools

Knowledge of Quality Methods, DOE, DFX, DFMEA, DMAIC.

Familiarity with common specifications such as MIL, UL, FCC, CE, IP, etc.

Work independently and proactively with very little direction or oversight

Effective presentation and project management skills
