Responsible Sourcing Manager
The mining and processing of raw materials in Lucid’s supply chains can have significant human rights and environmental impacts on communities and workers. We are currently seeking a Responsible Sourcing Manager to support Lucid’s objectives to respect human rights as well as support our compliance with meeting rapidly emerging human rights regulations globally. Our ideal candidate will exhibit a can-do attitude and approach work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to be agile in a fast-paced environment. This role sits on the Environment, Social & Governance team, which is part of the broader External Affairs group.
You Will:
- Engage with Lucid’s suppliers and supply chain team to develop and implement due diligence and mitigation measures related to human rights, worker rights, community engagement and indigenous peoples and mining to support Lucid’s compliance with the EU Battery and EU Deforestation Regulations and Lucid’s Responsible Sourcing Policy.
- Engage with industry groups and NGOs to leverage cross-industry efforts and enhance the impact of Lucid’s due diligence efforts/stakeholder engagement efforts across our supply chain.
- Partner with supply chain to develop traceability mechanisms to support supply chain mapping and trade compliance efforts, including reviewing traceability documentation to validate compliance.
- Participate in social compliance audits, review audit reports and work with suppliers to manage required corrective actions.
- Manage the drafting of Lucid’s external reporting related to human rights, including Lucid’s Sustainability Report, EU Battery Due Diligence, EU Deforestation, California Supply Chain Transparency Act, UK Modern Slavery Statement, Canada Forced Labor Act, and other new regulatory requirements as needed.
- Position is preferred in person in our Southfield, Michigan facility or our Casa Grande, Arizona plant and offices.
You Bring:
- 8+ years of combined relevant experience in human rights, ESG/sustainability, responsible sourcing, risk assessments, auditing.
- Experience in supply chain human rights due diligence.
- Highly collaborative team player with ability to influence stakeholders.
- Has a growth mindset and strives to continually learn and develop.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where you can make an impact quickly.
- Ability to travel up to 10-15%.
Advantageous:
- Supply chain and/or responsible sourcing experience in mining, automotive, tech or other similar manufacturing or extractive industries.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in human rights, sustainability, supply chain, or public policy. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
