Job Title: Test Engineer, Model Based Design Test and Software Verification
Job Scope/Responsibilities:
- Testing and Validation:
- Design and execute electrical and electronic open-loop testing of software design within modeling environments.
- Develop unit tests based on software component requirements.
- Create test harnesses in Simulink and develop both positive and negative test cases.
- Perform Model-in-the-Loop (MIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and Processor-in-the-Loop (PIL) testing for application software.
- Automation and Process Improvement:
- Document test results and metrics, ensuring compliance with safety integrity levels.
- Develop tools for automated unit and integration testing.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous testing during each release cycle.
- Automate regression testing and actively improve verification processes and documentation standards.
- Framework Development and Scalability:
- Design scalable solutions to support the simulation and testing of software across an expanding fleet of vehicle products.
- Develop scalable SIL infrastructure for rapid prototyping, simulation, and validation.
- Design simulation frameworks and models that are flexible and reusable across various teams.
- Collaboration and Innovation:
- Learn and contribute to the automotive control software development lifecycle.
- Actively participate in cross-functional collaborations to support the development and testing teams in rapid prototyping and software validation.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline is required. Master's degree or higher education is preferred.
- 2+ years of professional experience in Test Engineering.
- Proficient coding skills in Python, C/C++, and/or MATLAB are required.
- Experience with LiDAR, ADAS and/or Vehicle Controls are preferred.
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$107,300 - $147,510 USD
