
Sr. Contract Operations Manager, Global Indirect Procurement
The Contract Operations Manager supports the procurement function by managing contract lifecycles, ensuring vendor compliance, maintaining contract records, and assisting with negotiation and implementation of supply agreements. This role ensures contracts align with business goals, legal requirements, and procurement policies. The role will be responsible for managing the expansion and training of the global indirect team.
YOU WILL:
Strategic Procurement (80%):
- Draft, review, and administer procurement contracts, service-level agreements (SLAs), and vendor agreements.
- Maintain a centralized repository of all procurement-related contracts and associated documentation.
- Track and manage key contract dates, including expirations, renewals, milestones, and payment schedules.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Legal, Finance, Risk, Operations) to ensure contract compliance and alignment with company policies.
- Lead the expansion of the global indirect team across multiple regions.
- Design and execute comprehensive training programs for new and existing team members.
- Ensure consistent onboarding processes and skill development across all locations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Sales, Operations, and regional leadership.
- Monitor team performance and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Maintain alignment with global standards and company values in all team activities.
- Foster a high-performance culture through leadership, mentorship, and ongoing support.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations and KPIs.
- Ensure contracts comply with legal requirements, regulatory standards, and internal procurement policies.
- Support internal and external audits by providing contract documentation and compliance evidence.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards related to contract status, risk, and performance metrics.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency in contract operations.
- Support the implementation, adoption, and maintenance of contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools or procurement platforms.
Transformational Leadership (20%):
- Lead transformational procurement projects aimed at enhancing procurement processes, leveraging technology, and driving organizational efficiency.
- Champion sustainability initiatives within the procurement function, promoting environmentally responsible sourcing practices and supplier diversity.
- Develop and implement change management strategies to support procurement transformation initiatives.
YOU BRING:
- Curiosity: This position will require building-from-scratch thinking in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in strategic procurement, with a focus on contract management, ideally within the automotive or technology sector.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex supplier relationships to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, and program management skills.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
- Proficiency in procurement tools and systems, along with advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance considerations relevant to procurement activities.
- Passion for sustainability and familiarity with sustainable sourcing practices preferred.
- Be a proactive self-starter comfortable navigating dynamic work environments with shifting priorities.
- Effective in engaging and collaborating across different departments.
- Experience in the Automotive Industry is ideal.
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$136,100 - $199,540 USD
