
Supervisor - Logistics Operations
The Supervisor - Logistics Operations is responsible for supervising daily in-plant logistics activities, including truck park area, dock, internal/external warehouses, market place, and manufacturing lineside locations. This role focuses on hands-on execution of warehouse and packaging operations, dock management, and ensuring timely delivery of parts to production lines. The Supervisor helps maintain cost and time-effective lean storage and movement of goods, upholding safety, service, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate brings practical problem-solving skills, a collaborative approach, and strong communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily logistics operations across transportation, warehousing, and distribution functions.
- Support the implementation of logistics strategies to optimize service levels and reduce costs.
- Coordinate logistics planning for inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics, ensuring timely and accurate material flow.
- Assist in managing 3PL relationships, contracts, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, planning, and customer service to align logistics activities.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, transportation cost per unit, inventory accuracy, and warehouse productivity.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, safety, and environmental standards related to logistics operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Utilize digital tools and analytics to enhance logistics visibility and decision-making.
- Supervise and guide logistics team members, including warehouse and transport staff.
- Support new product launches, warehouse expansions, and supply chain transformation projects.
- Maintain accurate material schedules for timely delivery to production.
- Uphold health, safety, and environmental policies for the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.
- Assist in managing material planning budgets as required.
Skills:
- Deep understanding of logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, inventory management and people management skills.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management abilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of progressive experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.
- Minimum 1~2 years experience in related supervisory/team lead role.
- Experience supervising logistics teams or warehouse staff.
- Experience supporting large teams and complex distribution networks.
