We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineering Intern to support the ADAS Mechanical team in the integration of advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) sensors into the vehicle architecture. This internship offers hands-on experience in packaging, mounting, and validating sensor modules, working closely with a Technical Specialist and cross-functional teams.

Your Role

Assist in the design and packaging of ADAS sensor mounts and modules for both exterior and interior vehicle zones.

Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and detailed CAD modeling using CATIA.

Contribute to mechanical feasibility studies and collaborate with design, simulation, and supplier engineering teams.

Participate in design reviews and document design iterations and technical decisions.

Support prototype development and validation activities, including rapid prototyping and basic thermal, shock, and vibration assessments.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Prior internship or work experience in the R&D department of a leading Tier 1 supplier or OEM, specifically focused on ADAS components or systems.

Strong electro-mechanical background, with understanding of sensor packaging, mounting strategies, and vehicle integration.

Advanced proficiency in CATIA for 3D modeling and packaging studies.

Basic understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and mechanical design principles.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous internship or project experience in automotive or consumer product development.

Familiarity with vehicle packaging, materials, and manufacturing processes.
