We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineering Intern to support the ADAS Mechanical team in the integration of advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) sensors into the vehicle architecture. This internship offers hands-on experience in packaging, mounting, and validating sensor modules, working closely with a Technical Specialist and cross-functional teams. 

 Your Role 

  • Assist in the design and packaging of ADAS sensor mounts and modules for both exterior and interior vehicle zones. 
  • Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and detailed CAD modeling using CATIA. 
  • Contribute to mechanical feasibility studies and collaborate with design, simulation, and supplier engineering teams. 
  • Participate in design reviews and document design iterations and technical decisions. 
  • Support prototype development and validation activities, including rapid prototyping and basic thermal, shock, and vibration assessments. 

Qualifications 

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 
  • Prior internship or work experience in the R&D department of a leading Tier 1 supplier or OEM, specifically focused on ADAS components or systems. 
  • Strong electro-mechanical background, with understanding of sensor packaging, mounting strategies, and vehicle integration. 
  • Advanced proficiency in CATIA for 3D modeling and packaging studies. 
  • Basic understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and mechanical design principles. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. 

 Preferred Qualifications 

  • Previous internship or project experience in automotive or consumer product development. 
  • Familiarity with vehicle packaging, materials, and manufacturing processes.
