
Vehicle Engineering Intern – ADAS Mechanical Integration

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineering Intern to support the ADAS Mechanical team in the integration of advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) sensors into the vehicle architecture. This internship offers hands-on experience in packaging, mounting, and validating sensor modules, working closely with a Technical Specialist and cross-functional teams.
Your Role
- Assist in the design and packaging of ADAS sensor mounts and modules for both exterior and interior vehicle zones.
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and detailed CAD modeling using CATIA.
- Contribute to mechanical feasibility studies and collaborate with design, simulation, and supplier engineering teams.
- Participate in design reviews and document design iterations and technical decisions.
- Support prototype development and validation activities, including rapid prototyping and basic thermal, shock, and vibration assessments.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Prior internship or work experience in the R&D department of a leading Tier 1 supplier or OEM, specifically focused on ADAS components or systems.
- Strong electro-mechanical background, with understanding of sensor packaging, mounting strategies, and vehicle integration.
- Advanced proficiency in CATIA for 3D modeling and packaging studies.
- Basic understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and mechanical design principles.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or project experience in automotive or consumer product development.
- Familiarity with vehicle packaging, materials, and manufacturing processes.
