
Mobile App Engineering Manager
As the Manager of the Lucid Mobile Application, you will lead a team responsible for building the iOS/Android application that power Lucid’s next-generation electric vehicles. In this leadership role, you will lead a team building iOS/Android apps, overseeing the full SDLC, defining architecture, managing timelines, ensuring code quality, mentoring developers, and acting as a liaison between product/engineering, focusing on strategy, team growth, and delivering high-quality, performant mobile experiences aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
· Apply deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design to drive technical excellence.
· Conduct and lead design reviews and code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
· Plan, manage, and deliver complex mobile software projects from inception to deployment.
· Define and implement mobile app strategies, including technology selection and architecture.
· Collaborate cross-functionally with development, data engineering, and quality assurance teams to align mobile app initiatives with Lucid’s business goals.
· Establish and refine engineering processes, promote best practices, and drive team growth and effectiveness.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
· Demonstrated proficiency in latest software development principles, capabilities and limitations of iOS/Android platform
· Expert in Swift and SwiftUI or Kotlin with a solid understanding of modern design patterns
· Experience with iOS or Android Frameworks
· Proficient in iOS or Android development tools – Xcode, GIT, LLDB, Android studio and others
· Familiarity with Push Notifications, backend APIs, and cloud messaging
· Experience with unit testing
· Experience with using Agile/Scrum methodology for software development
· Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
· Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and system design.
· Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or equivalent) and cloud-native architectures.
· Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud monitoring, and observability tools.
· 8+ years of industry experience
· Lead and mentor a dynamic team, including potential offshore developers
Additional Desired Skills:
· Deep knowledge of Bluetooth LE, NFC, or UWB
· iOS Widgets, Apple Watch, Siri Integration
Leadership & Management Skills
· Proven experience leading software engineering teams and managing large-scale cloud projects.
· Ability to set technical direction, mentor engineers, and enforce high engineering standards.
· Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
· Demonstrated ability to drive software development processes and guide teams toward successful delivery.
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$180,100 - $264,110 USD

The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
