
OSP Delivery Project Manager
Lumos is looking for a full-time OSP Delivery Project Manager! If you have experience managing fiber builds, driving projects forward, and collaborating across teams to get the job done right we want to hear from you.
As an OSP Delivery Project Manager, you’ll lead the planning and execution of Outside Plant (OSP) construction projects: tracking milestones, aligning timelines, and partnering with internal and external teams to deliver results. You’ll work closely with Lumos leaders and field crews, keeping projects on schedule and on budget while identifying ways to improve efficiency, communication, and customer satisfaction. Essential Functions
- Builds and maintains strong partnerships with Business Units and cross-functional Lumos teams to support operational and strategic goals.
- Leads high-impact projects including market expansion, fiber pathway planning (FPP), special initiatives, and cost-reduction efforts.
- Executes on priority initiatives identified by senior leadership, including densification efforts and new market entry approved by the Executive or Board level.
- Oversees project scope, timelines, and deliverables to ensure all functionality, lifecycle, and growth objectives are achieved.
- Proactively identifies and mitigates risk across concurrent projects ensuring issues are addressed before they impact delivery.
- Tracks project milestones, reports progress to stakeholders, and ensures clear alignment with business expectations.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including cross-functional and departmental project support.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- 5+ years of project management experience required; telecommunications experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple, simultaneous projects with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially Word, Excel, & Project. Familiarity with telecom network technologies and operations is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills able to collaborate, inform, and influence across levels.
- Independent and proactive self-starter; comfortable managing ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen, integrity, and responsiveness in all interactions.
Other Experience & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Fiber or telecommunications industry knowledge is essential, understanding infrastructure, terminology, and process flow is critical to success.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; capable of identifying roadblocks and implementing scalable solutions.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently operates a computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment.
- Near-constant use of sight, speech, hearing, comprehension, and digital tools.
- Primarily office-based with occasional travel to Lumos locations or project meetings as needed.
