Commercial and pricing lead

What will your day look like?

As our new Commercial Lead, you will be at the forefront of our commercial efforts — from shaping pricing and scoping for high‑profile pitches to optimising commercial strategies for existing client engagements.

You will work on both new business opportunities and existing client opportunities, as well as lead strategic commercial projects such as developing new pricing models for products or services and conducting commercial impact analyses to guide key business decisions. Your work will ensure our commercial approach is competitive, sustainable, and aligned with our growth ambitions — helping us enhance our success in the market and deliver strong business performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and refining commercial strategies for clients, products, and services.
    Leading the commercial workstream on pitches, proposals, and strategic client opportunities.
  • Support client and delivery teams on optimise commercial aspects of ongoing engagements.
  • Leading the commercial workstream on pitches, proposals, and strategic client opportunities.
  • Conducting commercial analyses to assess the impact of strategic decisions and market changes
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across capabilities to ensure commercial excellence of offerings & products
  • Contributing to the evolution of VML MAP’s commercial frameworks, tools, and best practices
  • Collaborating with business development and the leadership team in identifying and pursuing new growth opportunities

Who are you going to work with?

Your will work out of our Copenhagen office, but will be working on a global scale. You will play a key part in our Business Development and Growth Enablement capabilities, but you will work across the business to ensure our commercial strategies are both market‑leading and operationally sound. You will be part of a diverse, ambitious, and collaborative environment where commercial thinking is valued as a driver of client success and business growth.

This senior role reports jointly to our Head of Business Development and COO, and will play a pivotal part in shaping and driving our commercial success.

What do you bring to the table?

You are a commercially-driven profile with a strategic mindset and a hands‑on approach. You can navigate complex, multi‑market engagements and balance market competitiveness with profitability.

In addition, you have:

  • 4+ years of experience in commercial roles within services businesses (e.g., agencies, consultancies), ideally with global clients and markets.
  • Proven track record in scoping, pricing, and developing commercial strategies for complex engagements.
  • Experience working with new business opportunities (pitches and proposal) and ideally also larger client accounts.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable commercial insights.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, global environment with multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills in English (Danish not required).
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, if needed.
