Job Summary
MedElite is seeking a Revenue Cycle Manager to oversee and optimize the end-to-end revenue cycle process across our healthcare provider network. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate documentation, timely billing, and efficient collections in collaboration with our third-party billing partner and internal teams. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in healthcare revenue operations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary internal point of contact for MedElite’s third-party billing company; manage communication, reporting, and issue resolution.
- Organize and lead a bi-weekly employee meeting with the third-party billing partner to align on priorities, address issues, and track performance.
- Collaborate with the medical records team to ensure documentation supports accurate and timely billing.
- Manage and optimize denial resolution processes, reduce unnecessary write-offs, and oversee timely and accurate claim unsubmission and resubmission.
- Collaborate with internal operations teams to proactively minimize denials, write-offs, and unsubmitted claims through process alignment and continuous feedback.
- Monitor and improve key revenue cycle performance metrics (e.g., clean claim rate, DSO, denial rates).
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and support cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer billing requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis.
- Prepare and present regular revenue cycle performance reports to senior leadership.
- Leverage technologies to streamline revenue cycle processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; certification in revenue cycle management (e.g., CRCR, CHAM) preferred.
- 5+ years of revenue cycle experience in a healthcare organization, including experience with outsourced billing vendors.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer billing requirements.
- Experience collaborating with clinical and administrative teams.
- Proficiency in EHRs and billing platforms; EMSOW or Rophe experience a plus.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
