Mobile Core Developer

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Core Network Developer to join our technology team immediately. The successful candidate will be deeply familiar with 3GPP standards, GSMA guidelines, and ITU requirements. They will initially focus on mastering our third-party mobile core software currently in operation and source code held in escrow. Developer will subsequently assume responsibility for debugging, maintenance, and feature enhancements at the source code level.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Quickly gain expertise in existing 4G/5G mobile core software provided by our third-party partner.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues at the software source-code level.
- Design, implement, and optimize new features to enhance mobile core functionality.
- Collaborate closely with network architects and product managers to align software improvements with company and client requirements.
- Ensure compliance with 3GPP standards, GSMA regulations, and ITU specifications.
- Document software changes, feature enhancements, and bug fixes comprehensively.
- Contribute to long-term strategic planning for network evolution and scalability.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mobile network software development, particularly with 4G/5G core network elements.
- Extensive familiarity with 3GPP, GSMA, and ITU standards and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrable experience analyzing, debugging, and modifying complex software systems at source code level.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Java, Python, or related languages used in telecom software development.
- Understanding of SIM/eSIM technologies and associated security protocols.
- Solid experience with DevOps practices and tools, including Git, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, VMware and related technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience directly handling source code for third-party developed telecom software.
- Knowledge of private mobile networks and their integration with public roaming services.
- Familiarity with mesh networking technologies and architectures.
- Professional certifications related to mobile network technologies (e.g., GSMA certifications, 3GPP protocol certifications).

*The salary range reflected is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay for this position is up to $150,000annually. Pay varies by work location and may also depend on job -related knowledge, skills, experience and abilities of the successful candidate.
