Job Overview 

The Senior Application Administrator for Domino environments will provide technical leadership, oversee the efficient operation, ensure standardization and maintenance of the Mitratech Lotus Domino Web Application infrastructure.  They will have the ability to resolve complex performance, configuration, and scalability issues. 

This individual must possess broad expertise in web technology with extensive experience working with Lotus Domino.  They will be responsible for ensuring optimal operation of hosted Domino servers, implementing enterprise security policies, and providing both application and technical support of the Domino environment.  While this is a hands-on senior position without people-management requirements, this role will be responsible for enhancing and contributing to the technical direction of the hosted Domino environment through collaboration and communication. 

The Mitratech Domino environment utilizes HTTP Web Sites to serve web applications and any applicant is required to have 7+ years experience in Domino web administration. 

This role will support the entire Mitratech Domino environment with primary responsibility for the infrastructure based in Sydney, Australia and will be expected to provide coverage during Sydney business hours. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Lotus Domino web servers, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. 
  • Implement security measures and best practices to safeguard Domino infrastructure. 
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize server and database performance. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Domino applications and support user requirements. 
  • Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity. 
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users on Domino-related queries. 
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to recommend and implement innovative solutions. 

Requirements & Skills:

  • Proven experience (7+ years) as a Lotus Domino Administrator and Domino Web in a Windows environment. 
  • Proficiency in managing Domino web applications and integrated databases 
  • Proficiency in configuring and maintaining Lotus Domino servers and applications, including software upgrades. 
  • Strong knowledge of Domino security, replication, and clustering, access control and performance monitoring 
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving server and application issues. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams and support end-users. 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, stakeholders, and end-users. Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical individuals. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues efficiently. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving technologies, changing priorities, and varying project scopes. 
  • A collaborative mindset with the capability to work within cross-functional teams to achieve common goals and support diverse user requirements. 
  • Meticulous attention to detail in ensuring accuracy and precision in Domino server configurations and troubleshooting procedures. 
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively. 

Education:                         

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related STEM field. 
  • Certifications such as IBM Certified Associate or Professional in Domino administration are a plus. 
  • Knowledge or familiarity with Load Balancing concept, WAF, general network security and application security.
