Dealer Development Manager

Summary of Role:
As the Dealer Development Manager you will coordinate and oversee regional dealer placement activities, assist in prospect and site selection, and assure that new and existing dealers meet requirements for management, capital, signage and facilities. You will develop and implement strategies to strengthen current dealer body through performance improvement programs, while ensuring, that company policies are followed.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Regional Dealer Placement activities including the development of dealer agreement packages for new points, buy/sells, renewals, relocations, and terminations and oversee and coordinate activities related to regional dealer business management, working capital, profitability, and financial statements.
- Manage and address compliance issues including facility, signage, flooring, trademark, etc.
- Develop and present new dealer and buy/sell dealer presentations to Franchise Committee.
- Review dealer operations for underperforming and newly appointed dealers with Dealer Principal/Management, develop plans to correct issues and launch properly and ensure compliance with MMNA policies.
- Develop and implement plans and processes targeted to improve dealer profitability and performance to achieve business goals.
- Effectively communicate current franchise activity and progress to Regional Management. Update DM’s for each assigned district and coordinate new dealer launch with district team.
- Recommend actions on buy/sell opportunities when applicable.
- Meet stated deadlines while delivering quality results.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years exempt-level wholesale/retail experience including at least five years as a District Sales Manager.
- Comprehensive verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of dealer financial statements.
- BS/BA in Business, Marketing or related field (or equivalent combination of experience and education).
- Ability to effectively influence and motivate others
- Ability to work effectively on multiple priorities, while delivering quality results.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite which includes Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
- Extensive travel is often required.
- Must maintain a valid unconditional driver’s license and a MMNA approved driving record.
Pay Transparency:
The base salary for this position ranges between $115,000 to $125,000. The base salary will be based on a number of factors including the role offered, the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
