Summary of Role:

We are looking for a Manager, National Dealer Development to lead our dealer development expansion and management initiatives. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to recruit, select, and support dealerships in key markets while ensuring compliance with company standards and agreements. This role will also manage the full dealer lifecycle from identification and installation to ongoing performance monitoring, financial analysis, and visual identity compliance. The position requires strong analytical skills for P/L analysis and working capital assessments, along with leadership capabilities to manage team development and support our Momentum 2030 growth objectives. Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive dealer recruitment strategies to identify, evaluate, train, and successfully install high-quality automotive dealers across key strategic markets nationwide
  • Manage and oversee the complete dealer selection process for new dealership locations while simultaneously coordinating replacement dealer identification and vetting procedures
  • Create, implement, and enforce robust policies, procedures, and programs that support dealer systems, ensure profitability and proper capitalization, and align with both short and long-term business requirements
  • Monitor, ensure, and enforce dealer compliance with Mitsubishi's Sales and Service Agreements while proactively initiating corrective action plans for non-compliant dealers in collaboration with regional teams
  • Direct and implement the development of innovative programs specifically designed to enhance dealer retail operations, improve customer experience, and maximize sales performance
  • Analyze and evaluate dealer financial statement submissions, conduct comprehensive P&L analysis, assess working capital requirements, and develop actionable plans with regional teams to strengthen financial positions
  • Plan, implement, and manage compliance with the Dealer Visual Identity Program to ensure consistent brand representation and maintain high visual standards across all dealership locations
  • Lead and develop team members by providing growth opportunities, fostering open communication, promoting teamwork and creativity, and driving high productivity and efficiency standards
  • Manage and execute Dealer Development Planning for open market opportunities in support of Mitsubishi’s long-range Momentum 2030 goals while creating and responding to regional market evaluation requests to ensure geographic viability
  • Maintain, update, and track comprehensive KPI reporting systems and departmental objective metrics to measure performance, guide strategic decisions, and ensure accountability across all initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in automotive wholesale and retail, including roles such as District Sales Manager, Regional Dealer Network Manager, and Regional Sales Manager
  • 4+ years of managerial experience, including conducting comprehensive financial statement analyses
  • Advanced proficiency with the following:
    • IHS Markit Catalyst for Insight for market data analysis
    • Urban Science Ni2 dealer network planning tools and processes
    • Urban Science DBI dealer financial analysis tools and processes
  • Strong business and legal writing skills for preparing dealer agreements and formal correspondence
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and resources related to dealer network planning and operations (FLIS)

Profile Differentiators:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management
  • Experience in franchise operations, management, or support
  • Prior retail dealership General Management/Operations experience

Pay Transparency: 

The base salary for this position ranges between $120,000 to $125,000. The base salary will be based on a number of factors including the role offered, the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
