ModMed is hiring a driven Director of Marketing Operations to join our positive, passionate, and high-performing team. The Director of Marketing Operations provides leadership and strategic direction for all aspects of marketing operations within Revenue Operations. This role is responsible for ensuring marketing campaigns, automation workflows, and lead management processes operate efficiently and align with GTM priorities and sales handoff requirements.

Reporting to the VP, Revenue Operations, the Director oversees a team focused on working cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales Operations, Innovation, and GTM Analytics & Planning to ensure seamless execution, accurate data flow, and strong operational alignment across systems and processes.

Key areas of ownership include campaign execution, lead routing and scoring, process governance, and continuous improvement of marketing workflows. The Director defines and enforces operational standards, partners with the Innovation team to translate business requirements into system capabilities, and collaborates with the Analytics team to validate data structures and metrics for effective performance measurement.

This position requires a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on execution, with the ability to identify process gaps, design scalable solutions, and drive adoption of best practices. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in marketing automation, strong leadership skills, and the ability to operationalize complex marketing strategies across teams and tools.

Your Role:

  • Lead the Marketing Operations function:
    • Define the strategic direction for Marketing Operations.
    • Oversee campaign operations, lead lifecycle management, and funnel governance.
    • Align marketing processes and performance goals with overall GTM strategy.
  • Drive operational excellence in campaign execution:
    • Partner with Marketing teams to operationalize campaigns and programs.
    • Ensure automation, targeting, and execution processes run efficiently.
    • Establish quality control checkpoints to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage and develop the Marketing Operations team:
    • Set clear priorities and expectations for team members.
    • Coach and develop the Marketing Operations Specialist and Marketing Automation Specialist.
    • Promote collaboration across RevOps, Marketing, and Innovation.
  • Own lead management and funnel governance:
    • Define and maintain lead routing, scoring, and lifecycle rules.
    • Partner with Sales Operations to ensure data integrity and conversion alignment.
    • Continuously refine funnel metrics and handoff processes
  • Collaborate with the Innovation team on systems and tools:
    • Provide business requirements for MAP, CRM, and data integrations.
    • Partner on testing, deployment, and enhancement of marketing systems.
    • Validate that tools support process scalability and reporting needs.
  • Partner with GTM Analytics & Planning on marketing performance insights:
    • Ensure marketing data structures and tagging enable accurate analysis.
    • Support data validation, metric definitions, and reporting readiness.
    • Partner on understanding and applying analytics to operational improvements.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; Master’s degree (MBA or related analytical/marketing discipline) preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, Campaign Operations, or Revenue Operations roles
  • Demonstrated expertise in marketing automation, campaign execution, and lead management
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Marketing Operations or Marketing Technology leadership
  • SaaS or B2B technology industry experience
  • Proven ability to design scalable marketing processes and drive operational alignment with Sales and Marketing
  • Experience leading a small team and managing cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience with MAP platforms (e.g., Pardot, Marketo, HubSpot) and CRM (Salesforce)
  • Experience in process automation and operational governance
  • Strong understanding of GTM and marketing processes
  • Skilled in campaign execution, automation workflows, and funnel governance
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Proven ability to partner across teams including Sales Operations, Innovation, and Analytics
  • Highly organized with strong attention to process design and data accuracy
  • Familiarity with database management and data transformation concepts
  • Advanced understanding of marketing attribution and funnel conversion metrics
  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives within RevOps or GTM environments
  • Strong change management and stakeholder alignment capabilities
  • Ability to work eastern business hours and travel domestically up to 10%
