Staff Salesforce Solution Architect

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a strategic Staff Salesforce Solution Architect to lead the design and evolution of our Service Cloud platform while driving organizational transformation through agile practices and change management. This role combines deep technical architecture expertise with program management, agile leadership, and product management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will serve as both a technical visionary and execution leader, ensuring our Salesforce solutions align with business objectives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and user adoption across the organization.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Solution Architecture (30%)

- Design comprehensive end-to-end Service Cloud technical architecture supporting scalability, performance, and business growth
- Define and implement integration strategies with enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, and third-party applications
- Establish robust scalability and performance frameworks to support large data volumes and high user concurrency
- Create and maintain technical standards, best practices, and architectural governance frameworks
- Review, evaluate, and approve complex technical solutions ensuring alignment with architectural principles
- Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance on platform optimization and modernization

Program Management (25%)

- Own and drive the Service Cloud roadmap development, including strategic initiatives and platform evolution
- Coordinate complex cross-functional project delivery involving development, QA, business analysis, and operations teams
- Manage stakeholder expectations through regular communication, status reporting, and executive presentations
- Drive portfolio prioritization and resource allocation decisions based on business value and technical complexity
- Ensure program delivery alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budget constraints
- Establish governance processes for project intake, prioritization, and delivery management

Agile Leadership / Scrum Master (20%)

- Facilitate agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews
- Identify and proactively remove blockers to optimize team velocity and delivery efficiency
- Coach development teams and stakeholders on agile best practices and continuous improvement methodologies
- Manage sprint planning activities, capacity planning, and backlog refinement sessions
- Foster a collaborative, continuous improvement culture focused on delivering business value
- Implement agile metrics and reporting to track team performance and identify improvement opportunities

Technical Product Management (15%)

- Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical solutions and implementation strategies
- Own and manage the technical product backlog, ensuring features are properly prioritized and defined
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and end users on requirements gathering
- Define comprehensive acceptance criteria, success metrics, and testing strategies for new features
- Manage technical debt reduction initiatives and platform optimization efforts
- Balance feature development with platform maintenance and performance optimization needs

Change Management (10%)

- Design and execute comprehensive user adoption and training strategies for new platform capabilities
- Lead organizational change initiatives supporting digital transformation and process optimization
- Communicate technical changes and platform updates to business stakeholders in accessible language
- Ensure smooth rollout of new capabilities through phased deployment and user support strategies
- Monitor and measure adoption success through metrics, user feedback, and performance indicators
- Develop change management playbooks and best practices for future platform enhancements

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
- 10+ years of Salesforce experience with at least 4 years in solution architecture or techo-functional leadership roles
- Knowledge about business architecture, tool retionalization
- Proven experience in program management and cross-functional project leadership
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent agile certification
- Strong background in Service Cloud implementation and optimization
- Experience with enterprise system integration and API management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive and technical audiences

Preferred

- Salesforce certifications including Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant, Platform App Builder
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent program management certification
- Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or other Salesforce products
- Background in change management methodologies and organizational transformation
- Previous consulting or client-facing experience in solution architecture

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Technical Architecture

- Deep expertise in Salesforce platform capabilities including Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Lightning Platform
- Advanced understanding of system integration patterns, APIs, middleware, and enterprise architecture principles
- Strong knowledge of data architecture, security models, and scalability considerations for large-scale implementations
- Understanding of performance optimization, capacity planning, and system monitoring practices
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and their application to Salesforce platform evolution

Program and Project Management

- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-workstream programs with competing priorities and dependencies
- Experience with portfolio management, resource allocation, and strategic roadmap development
- Strong skills in stakeholder management, executive communication, and cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to translate business strategy into technical execution plans and delivery roadmaps
- Experience with budget management, vendor coordination, and contract oversight
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices

Agile Leadership and Coaching

- Extensive experience as Scrum Master or Agile Coach in complex technical environments
- Strong facilitation skills for workshops, planning sessions, and team meetings
- Ability to coach teams on agile practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience with agile scaling frameworks (SAFe, LeSS) for large organizations
- Skills in conflict resolution, team dynamics, and performance optimization
- Knowledge of agile metrics, reporting, and team performance measurement

Business and Communication

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present to all organizational levels
- Strong business acumen and ability to align technical solutions with business outcomes
- Experience in requirements gathering, user story creation, and acceptance criteria definition
- Skills in change management, training design, and user adoption strategies
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Experience in vendor management and third-party solution evaluation

Leadership and Strategic Thinking

- Proven leadership experience in driving organizational change and transformation initiatives
- Strategic thinking skills with ability to balance long-term vision with immediate tactical needs
- Experience mentoring technical teams and developing organizational capabilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making approach
- Ability to work effectively in matrix organizations and influence without direct authority
- Innovation mindset with focus on emerging technologies and platform evolution

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
