Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled VMware ESXi Engineer / KVM-Hypervisor Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and troubleshooting diverse operating systems, networking infrastructure, and virtualization technologies. This role will involve performing complex infrastructure upgrades, configurations, and partner site entablements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating Systems Management:
- Proficient in managing Windows (all versions) and Linux (all distributions).
- Perform domain administration tasks, including FSMO role migrations.
- Troubleshoot DNS (Windows and Linux-based BIND), TCP/IP, and NTP-related issues.
- Virtualization & Hypervisor:
- Administer and manage VMware ESXi, RedHat KVM, and related virtualization technologies.
- Work with DNS Masq and other related services in virtualized environments.
- Firmware and OS Upgrades:
- Collaborate with the team to upgrade Cisco UCS Manager/CIMC firmware, Windows OS, and Linux OS.
- Perform pre- and post-configuration fleet tasks using Ansible and an infrastructure pipeline.
- Networking and Hardware:
- Work with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and terminal servers.
- Utilize Cisco UCS Manager, including fabric interconnect, and manage hardware components (RAID, disks, memory, CPU).
- Scripting and Automation:
- Write and maintain scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python, and Ansible for automation.
- Agile Methodology:
- Actively participate in Scrum team activities and contribute to Agile workflows.
- Tools and Software:
- Leverage tools like ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Visual Studio Code, PuTTY, and MobaXterm for daily tasks.
- New Partner Site Enablement:
- Assist with onboarding new sites and partners, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong expertise with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience in Windows domain administration, including FSMO role migration.
- Proficient in DNS management and troubleshooting, including BIND.
- Networking knowledge of Cisco hardware and software.
- Hands-on experience with RedHat KVM, VMware ESX/ESXi, and related tools.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, Python, and familiarity with Ansible.
- Knowledge of hardware components: RAID, disks, memory, and CPUs.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and working in Scrum teams.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, and MobaXterm.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience with Cisco UCS Manager and infrastructure pipeline processes.
- Familiarity with DNS Masq configurations in virtualized environments.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure management and virtualization.
