Role Overview:
The IT Infrastructure & Supply Chain Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the successful implementation of cabling services at IT infrastructure projects, as well as coordinating warehouse operations and logistics. This position benefits from an understanding of structured cabling, IT equipment handling, and supply chain coordination. The candidate will be responsible for on-site IT infrastructure installations, including cabling, racking and stacking IT hardware, and installing racks and UPS systems. Additionally, the role involves handling inventory, organizing shipments, and preparing equipment for installations.
Job Summary:
The IT Infrastructure & Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for preparing and installing IT infrastructure hardware, including cabling, rack stack patching (RSP), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), power distribution units (PDUs), and IT racks. The role also involves creating client quotations, traveling for IT infrastructure cabling and remediation services, and managing warehouse operations. This includes handling preparation, packaging, inventory management, and logistics planning for IT equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure & Cabling Services:
- Install structured cabling, IT racks, and power distribution (UPS, PSUs, ATSs)
- Perform Rack Stack Patch (RSP) services, including mounting, patching, and labeling IT components.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and safety standards.
- Travel to client sites for installation of IT infrastructure hardware.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure proper installation and documentation.
Quotation & Client Coordination:
- Prepare accurate quotations for IT infrastructure and cabling services.
- Work with technical teams to define project scopes and pricing.
- Provide clients with recommendations on IT infrastructure solutions.
- Assist in drafting proposals, RFQs, and cost estimates based on project requirements for IT Infrastructure cabling and remediation services.
Warehouse & Logistics Operations:
- Oversee warehouse operations, including the preparation, packing, and shipping of IT equipment.
- Ensure proper boxing and packaging of cabling and other hardware for safe transportation.
- Manage inventory control and stock levels for IT infrastructure components.
- Organize warehouse space for efficient storage and easy access to equipment.
- Coordinate logistics for timely dispatch and receipt of materials.
- Collaborate with shipping vendors and transportation providers for optimized delivery planning.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain documentation of installations and inventory records.
- Ensure all deployments meet client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures for IT infrastructure setup and warehouse logistics.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cabling, warehouse, and logistics operations.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, engineering, structured cabling, IT, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with warehouse management, inventory control, and logistics coordination is beneficial.
- Experience preparing technical quotations and project cost estimations is a plus.
- Ability to travel for on-site installations.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards related to IT infrastructure.
