The Role:

The Delivery Manager is a critical junior-level role within the Ogilvy Consulting team, reporting to the Senior Delivery Director. This role is responsible for supporting the smooth and efficient execution of client projects by ensuring seamless navigation through internal systems and processes. The Delivery Manager will be a critical part of a newly formed Operations team, working closely with project teams, resource, finance and other internal stakeholders to facilitate project setup, tracking, reporting, and closure. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced consulting environment, with opportunities to work across multiple Business Unit’s for key clients.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Project Setup and Initiation:

  • Coordinate with the relevant consulting/project teams to formulate initial timeline, resource requirements for all new project requests.
  • Create the necessary project codes in the finance and resource systems for tracking purposes.
  • Support the team with the creation of the SOW, ensure the necessary commercial approvals have been received and upload to the necessary systems (Ogilvy and client systems).
  • Ensure all resource requests for all new projects are communicated to the Operations Resource Manager and time is allocated in Wrike accurately.
  • Track client approval of SOW and ensure billing requests of client POs are processed in a timely manner.
  • Support any new starters in the consulting with any necessary finance tasks e.g. training on how to book travel, process expenses, complete timesheets etc.

Project Tracking and Monitoring:

  • For select larger clients, maintain project schedules and timelines, tracking progress against key milestones and updating resource of any shifts in staff needs.
  • Alongside the Senior Delivery Director, oversee production requests for larger requirements, from deck design image creation to video production.
  • Support with the monitoring of all project SOW, running burn reports, against planned timelines, identifying potential overruns or discrepancies on a weekly basis.
  • Proactively identify and escalate potential project risks and issues to the Senior Delivery Director.

Internal Process Management:

  • Serve as a liaison between Consulting project teams and internal departments (e.g., finance, resource, production, legal).
  • Ensure compliance with Ogilvy's internal policies and procedures.
  • Work with the Senior Delivery Director and Operations Manager to streamline internal processes to improve project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support the implementation of new project management tools and methodologies.

New Business Support:

  • Support the development of new business proposals and pitches and ensuring any resource outside of consulting is communicated to the relevant Resource manager and recorded in Wrike.

 

Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, especially in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong work ethic with superior attention to detail.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint, Keynote a plus. Wrike and/or Workday experience an advantage.
  • A good understanding of basic production tasks such as overseeing design requests or working with a production team to create internal videos
  • A curiosity, energy and assertiveness that allows you to adopt a can-do attitude to every challenge and initiative.
  • Thrives in a changing, dynamic environment
  • Acts in a professional way while being able to ‘make it fun’.
  • Able to see the big picture while paying attention to the smallest details.
