Role: Account Executive 

Location: Durban, South Africa

About the role:

Working with our client, the Account Executive leads deliverables and tasks from concept to completion, providing excellent communication and coordination skills. Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients. The Account Executive is the key communicator on the status, risks, and challenges of all the project deliverables, inclusive of budget and resources. Working in the area of digital marketing, this dynamic role is a great opportunity for a self-starter with an interest in all areas of online consumer engagement and user experience. 

What you will be doing:

  • Work in true collaboration with the client and be responsible for a seamless successful project and product as the outcome 
  • Managing projects from beginning to end with clear communication regularly on milestones, targets, goals, and deadlines 
  • Develop existing client relationships as part of the business pipeline 
  • Working alongside internal and external teams and developers 
  • Develop internal and external marketing communications including email marketing and CMS 
  • Copywriting for internal comms with senior management 
  • Continuously assessing working methods and processes while making recommendations for improvement 
  • Integrating into the client process to gain new business opportunities 
  • Acting as the lead contact for the client’s internal project 
  • Work with the client’s PR team on digital comms 
  • Reviewing project resources and providing an analysis of whether they meet the demands of the project 
  • Supporting the Account Director in managing the project’s critical path, deliverables, and budget where appropriate, updating stakeholders and recap reviews 

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Excellent client engagement skills with the ability to proactively organise and influence clients and build strong and effective working relationships 
  • Exceptional project management skills to be the product owner working with the clients 
  • A track record in copywriting and proofing of external comms 
  • Background in producing project recaps, WIPs and updates 
  • Experience in digital marketing is highly beneficial 
  • Overall responsibility for the successful initiation of the project plan and execution with stakeholders, monitoring progress, controlling deadlines and closure of the project 
  • The ability to develop and put forward the best process in tackling data gathering and storing 
  • The ability to host clear, efficient, and productive project meetings for differing stages of the project from kick-off to discovery, and so on, using a project methodology 
  • Knowledge of CRM systems, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and AEM is preferred 
  • Working knowledge of using word press would be valuable 
  • Quick learner and self-motivated 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other related software
