Role: Global Senior Project Manager 

Location: Mumbai, India 

 

About the role: 

The Global Senior Project Manager serves as a key liaison between Corporate, Division, and other company functional stakeholders, providing senior-level ownership of end-to-end project delivery across global programs. This role drives operational efficiencies, governance, and consistent process discipline across planning, delivery, and reporting workflows, while building strong client relationships and leading high-performing teams. 

The ideal candidate deeply understands the benefits of strong process and workflow design, and how to use, build, and optimise these to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency across delivery. As part of a large team, there is high potential for progression and promotion, with access to internal and external training programs for continued professional development. 

 

What you will be doing:  

Topline 

  • Provide senior-level ownership of end-to-end project delivery across global programs. 
  • Drive operational efficiencies, quality control, and governance across planning, delivery, and reporting workflows. 
  • Act as a senior delivery partner to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and requirements. 
  • Provide strategic input into process improvements, risk mitigation, and long-term scalability of delivery operations. 
  • Produce performance analysis, reporting, and insights to support continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Communicate proactively with senior stakeholders, escalating risks and proposing practical solutions where required. 
  • Act as line manager and mentor to mid-weight and junior Project Managers, supporting their day-to-day development, workload, and growth. 
  • Act as a side support to the Global Delivery Director, helping to carry delivery oversight across the programme. 
  • Ensure process and ways of working are being followed consistently by other team members. 
  • The successful candidate should have flexibility in their working hours to effectively collaborate with clients and team members across global regions. 

Project & Programme Management 

  • Own end-to-end delivery of projects and programmes, ensuring scope and timelines are met. 
  • Possess a strong understanding of asset localisation principles, workflows, and best practices, with the ability to effectively manage the end-to-end localisation process across multiple markets and languages. 
  • Establish and track KPIs, manage risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to keep delivery on track. 
  • Provide senior guidance on project set-up, planning standards, and documentation requirements. 
  • Lead audits, reporting, and governance activities across the programme. 
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives at both regional and global levels. 
  • Manage quarterly demand planning and resource forecasting for the quarters ahead. 

Client Management 

  • Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction through proactive communication. 
  • Partner with client stakeholders to drive operational effectiveness, alignment, and delivery confidence. 
  • Advise clients on process and delivery requirements throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Navigate internal and client-side subject matter experts to resolve complex delivery issues. 
  • Serve as the primary senior contact for client audits and governance reviews. 
  • Host weekly status meetings to proactively identify projects at risk or requiring attention, ensure clients have visibility of risks, and provide clear mitigation strategies and corrective action plans. 

Team Management 

  • Lead, mentor, and support junior Project Managers and Coordinators, including prioritisation, workload planning, performance feedback, and capability development. 
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of training materials, onboarding, and process documentation for the team. 
  • Lead onboarding and training for new team members, as well as refresher sessions for existing stakeholders. 
  • Act as an escalation point for complex operational issues and team challenges. 
  • Support building and developing the wider team, providing leadership and mentoring. 
  • Manage resource across the production team, ensuring daily priorities are clearly defined and understood. 
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of design, copy, and video production workflows, enabling realistic estimation of effort, timelines, and resource requirements based on the scope and complexity of the task. 

Process, WoW & Workflow 

  • Lead the documentation, optimisation, and enhancement of workflows and operating models across the programme. 
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation. 
  • Map processes and touchpoints across the programme to ensure clarity, efficiency, and identification of interdependencies. 
  • Recommend and implement best practices to improve process consistency and overall delivery quality. 
  • Ensure regular reporting covering programme status, significant risks and issues, and measured KPIs. 
  • Get involved in process and ways-of-working optimisation planning initiatives. 

Automation Delivery Competency 

  • Understand how automation and streamlined tooling support delivery, and identify where they can drive efficiency across the programme. 
  • Partner with relevant internal teams to embed automation-enabled workflows into standard ways of working. 
  • Champion adoption of automated processes across the team, supporting change management and training as needed. 
  • Monitor the impact of automation on delivery timelines and quality, feeding insights into continuous improvement plans. 

 

What you need to be great in this role: 

Skill / Experience Required: 

  • Proven experience leading complex projects within highly regulated, matrixed, and global environments.  
  • Strong senior-level project management expertise, including planning, governance, risk management, delivery oversight, and project tracking.  
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes without direct authority.  
  • Excellent organisational, documentation, and process design skills with exceptional attention to detail.  
  • Highly analytical and solution-oriented, with a strong problem-solving mindset.  
  • Confident communicator with strong written, verbal, client management, and relationship-building skills.  
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels, adapting to fast-paced and evolving environments.  
  • Collaborative leader and mentor, with experience developing and supporting junior team members.  
  • Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders, third-party vendors, and complex workflows.  
  • Experience working on global localisation projects and distributed teams.  
  • Strong understanding of project setup and workflow management systems, including the impact of data quality on reporting and performance metrics.  
  • Proficient in reporting and dashboard tools, including Zoho, and able to manage status reporting against agreed cadences.  
  • Technically savvy, with the ability to quickly learn and work across multiple systems and tools.  
  • Understanding of automation-enabled delivery models and their impact on operational efficiency and scalability.  
  • Experience with Agile, Dual Track Agile, Lean UX, or Design Thinking methodologies.  
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.  
  • Minimum 6–8 years' experience in Project Management, Account Management, or related disciplines. 
  • Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies 
  • Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical
