Role: Videographer/Photographer

Location: Grand Rapids, MI – Hybrid/Onsite (2-3x/week)

About the role: 

OLIVER is partnering with BISSELL to build a world-class in-house agency, elevating visual storytelling through videography and photography. We are seeking a Videographer/Photographer to capture and produce high-quality video and photographic content for multi-platform marketing campaigns, including social media, digital, print, eCommerce, and in-store displays. This role requires a highly skilled visual artist with expertise in camera operation, lighting, editing, and post-production. You will work closely with Creative Directors, Designers, Motion Artists, and Marketing stakeholders to develop engaging, visually stunning content that enhances brand identity and customer engagement. Additionally, you will explore GenAI tools to optimize workflow efficiencies, video automation, and editing enhancements. What you will be doing: 

  • Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality video and photographic content for digital, social media, print, and in-store marketing.
  • Lead both studio and on-location shoots, managing camera operation, lighting setups, and sound recording.
  • Capture and edit product-focused visuals, ensuring photorealistic quality and compelling storytelling.
  • Integrate motion graphics, CGI elements, and VFX enhancements into video content.
  • Apply color grading, sound design, and post-production effects to elevate production quality.
  • Work closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, and Marketing teams to align content with brand strategy.
  • Assist in storyboarding and creative concept development, ensuring alignment with campaign goals.
  • Maintain clear communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Adapt content into various formats and aspect ratios, optimizing assets for social media, web, and eCommerce.
  • Organize and maintain photo and video archives, ensuring accessibility and version control.
  • Stay ahead of visual storytelling trends, video production advancements, and AI-powered editing tools.
  • Utilize GenAI tools to improve editing automation, rendering processes, and workflow efficiencies.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges in video production, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.
  • Implement cloud-based asset management systems for efficient storage and retrieval of visual content.

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in videography, photography, and digital content creation within an advertising, marketing, or creative agency environment.
  • Proficiency in camera operation, including DSLR, mirrorless, and cinema cameras (Canon, Sony, RED, Blackmagic, Arri, etc.).
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, and DaVinci Resolve.
  • Strong knowledge of lighting techniques, including studio, natural, and artificial lighting setups.
  • Experience capturing both product and lifestyle imagery, balancing brand aesthetics and consumer appeal.
  • Ability to direct talent, coordinate shoots, and manage post-production workflows.
  • Experience with motion graphics, CGI, and 3D rendering integration for video content.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Interest in AI-powered editing tools, exploring how GenAI can enhance video and photography workflows.
  • Experience working in consumer product marketing or eCommerce photography.
  • Familiarity with stop-motion animation and dynamic motion capture techniques.
  • Knowledge of social media video trends and engagement strategies.
  • Experience with drone videography and aerial photography.
  • Sound design and audio editing experience, ensuring well-balanced and immersive multimedia content.
  • Exposure to interactive video content creation and immersive media.
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $68,000.00 to $76,000.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
