We're looking for highly skilled and motivated Commissioning Engineersto join our dynamic team and play a critical role in bringing complex projects to life. In this position, you'll be responsible for the crucial final stages of construction and installation, ensuring that all systems and equipment are installed, tested, and operate according to specifications and client requirements. As a Commissioning Engineer at ON.energy, you will:
- Execute system-level commissioning tests (functionality checks, network verification, and performance validation).
- Manage subsets of on-site team, 2-10 people, to autonomously drive project initiatives specified by Senior Commissioning Engineer.
- Foster and maintain a culture of safety for all team members, maintaining Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and lock out tag out (LOTO) programs.
- Review and validate configurations for PLC, SCADA, EMS, network, etc.
- Conduct troubleshooting for control system issues, network faults, and inverter problems.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Support safety inspections, risk assessments, and FAT validation.
- Provide field reports and document all commissioning activities.
Requirements
- Experience with commissioning, power conversion systems, and industrial networks. BESS commissioning experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of control systems, communication protocols (Modbus, CAN), and safety procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or related field preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Safety certifications (OSHA 30, OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, First Aid, CPR, AED)
