ON’s patented AI UPS™ is a medium-voltage UPS that serves as a firewall, protecting the data center from the grid, and the grid from the data center. With multiple gigawatts currently under construction, we are enabling grid-safe data centers. 

Job Summary

We are looking for a QA Engineer with strong Python skills and hands-on experience in UI automation (Playwright, Selenium) to design, build, and maintain automated test suites. You'll work closely with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality releases through a mix of automated and manual testing practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated UI test scripts using Playwright and/or Selenium with Python
  • Build and maintain a scalable test automation framework (Page Object Model or similar design patterns)
  • Perform API testing (using Postman, requests library, or REST Assured) to validate backend functionality
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
  • Identify, log, and track defects through resolution using tools like JIRA
  • Analyze test results, debug failures, and maintain test stability (handling flaky tests, waits, synchronization issues)
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand requirements and define test strategy/coverage
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
  • Maintain test documentation — test plans, test cases, and automation coverage reports
  • Contribute to code reviews of test scripts and automation framework improvements

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of QA experience with a strong focus on automation
  • Proficient in Python for test scripting
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Selenium WebDriver
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies (manual + automated)
  • Experience with test management/bug tracking tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr)
  • Familiarity with version control and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with API testing tools/libraries (Postman, requests, REST Assured)
  • Strong understanding of test design techniques (boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, etc.)
  • Good analytical, debugging, and communication skills

Preferred/Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with pytest or unittest frameworks
  • Exposure to Docker/containerized test environments
  • Experience with BDD frameworks (Behave, pytest-bdd, Cucumber)
  • ISTQB certification
  • Basic SQL/database validations
