Summary

The Senior Software QA Automation Engineer I has a strong background in Test automation tools, Microsoft technologies and an ability to work as a key member in a software engineering team for a rapidly growing company. Our company provides Corporate Performance Management (CPM) software for large corporations. Our product is designed for high-end deployments at customer facilities or in the Microsoft Azure cloud. The core engine contains complex OLAP-type, multi-dimensional, multi-server, multi-threading, web, and SQL technologies and is specifically designed to solve problems for the Office of Finance at extremely large corporations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and scripts (C#, Selenium, RestSharp, Appium, and related technologies), and lead ongoing enhancement of frameworks, tooling, and CI/CD infrastructure.
  • Build deep product knowledge of OneStream to design automation solutions aligned with functionality and requirements.
  • Partner with developers, product managers, and business analysts to gather requirements, inform design/development, and uphold quality across the SDLC.
  • Collaborate with QA and development to build comprehensive test cases, close test coverage gaps, and integrate automation into the overall product quality strategy.
  • Investigate automation failures and production issues, report on test metrics, and partner with development to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Provide expert automation support to business analysts, customers, and the testing team.
  • Lead peer code reviews, mentor automation engineers, and uphold code quality, organization, and maintainability across the automation suite.
  • Champion process optimization, driving improvements to software development, testing practices, and product functionality.
  • Evaluate quality benchmarks, automation metrics, and QE discipline standards; recommend improvements for team growth.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related IT field.
  • 5+ years building test automation for web applications, including 3+ years programming.
  • Hands-on experience with C#, Selenium, RestSharp, SQL, Azure (including pipelines), and Git.
  • Strong grasp of object-oriented programming and design patterns; skilled at writing reusable libraries.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong foundational understanding of multi-tiered architecture.
  • Able to analyze and communicate technical issues, lead discussions, and influence decisions.
  • Strong troubleshooting, estimating, and risk-assessment skills; comfortable with client engagement.
  • Drives collaboration across scrum teams and the broader organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience in object-oriented concepts in any programming language.
  • Experience in Azure or AWS cloud platform.
  • Experience leading and working with offshore teams is a plus.
  • Preferred experience and knowledge in SQL and developing database queries.

Total compensation is based on experience, skills, and location using objective, job-related criteria. Additional variable compensation and benefits may apply.

Gross annual base salary

$99,000 - $128,500 USD
