We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electronics Engineer to work on electronics system design, testing and implementation of electronic systems and components in our product programs. The ideal candidate will be a design expert, responsible for the complete lifecycle of electronic systems, from conceptualization and architecture definition through detailed design, prototyping, testing, and transfer to manufacturing.

As a Senior Design Engineer you will be responsible for the design, verification and documentation of embedded electronics. You may also take part in technology studies. This is a senior technical role, responsible for ensuring design excellence and quality for electronics.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics design, electronics testing methods, circuit design and embedded systems. As a senior team member, you will also provide technical leadership and collaborate with the quality department cross-functionally to ensure the desired product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electronics Design: Lead the design and schematic capture of multi-layer PCBs incorporating microcontrollers (MCUs), high-speed interfaces, power management circuitry, opto-electrical components, sensors and analog/mixed-signal components.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Develop detailed test plans, build and validate prototypes, and perform rigorous testing (functional, performance) to ensure designs meet all specifications and quality standards. Utilize advanced lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers) for debugging and characterization.
  • Mechanics & Firmware Collaboration: Work closely with the Mechanics and Firmware teams to succeed in Electronics-Mechanics integration and defining Electronics-Firmware interfaces, assist with board bring-up, and provide technical support during integration.
  • Component Selection & Management: Evaluate, select, and qualify critical electronic components, maintaining a focus on supply chain resilience and cost-effectiveness.
  • System Architecture: Participate and define the electronic system architecture based on product requirements, considering factors such as cost, power consumption, performance, and manufacturability. Work together with the System Architect and Product management for product requirements.
  • Standards & Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., CE, FCC, UL).
  • Documentation: Generate and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, schematics, test reports, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Continuously research and implement new technologies and methods to improve product performance and quality.
  • Review and approve design documentation, test procedures, and engineering reports.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Work with suppliers, manufacturing partners, and technology providers to deliver desired quality of components.

We would love to have you on our team if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • 10 years of experience in electronics design and verification, with 5–7 years in a senior engineering role, including project leadership.
  • Deep expertise in troubleshooting of electrical systems/products including analog and digital circuit design, bluetooth, wireless power transfer, high-speed interfaces, power management and embedded systems.
  • Problem Solving: Strong technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Experience with design tools such as schematics and layout tools (e.g. Altium) and signal/power integrity analysis.
  • Prototyping and Validation: Hands-on experience with building and validating prototypes, using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to interact within engineering teams and deliver complex, multi-disciplinary projects
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively across internal teams and external partners.
