
Senior Accountant

Position Summary:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced level Accounting/Finance professional with 3-4 years of experience in accounting or finance. This position offers long-term growth within the organization and career mobility. The senior accountant will mainly be responsible for supervising accounts payable, account receivable activities, and posting general ledger entries. The role will include coordinating and reviewing all month end processes to ensure timely reporting of financial information. Success in such activities will immediately lead to an expansion of job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Results-oriented and independently takes action, solves problems, and implements best practices through teamwork and collaboration.
- Coordinating month and year end close processes with accounting team to ensure timely internal and external GAAP financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of month end financial packets to be reviewed by CFO.
- Prepare monthly budget to actual flux analysis.
- Drive process improvements, implementation, and contribute to accounting transformation projects.
- Mentor accounting associate to ensure compliance to established processes and procedures.
- Reviews payments and controls expenses by approving cash disbursements.
- Reviews processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management processes.
- Reviews employee expense reimbursement reporting to ensure accurate posting of expense categories and departments.
- Assist in the preparation of technical accounting memos
- Establishes effective partnerships and working relationships with other departments within the company.
- Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity while adhering to data protection and confidentiality policies.
- Performs ad hoc finance & accounting work as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field a plus
- 4+ Years of Experience in an accounting environment
- Preferred: Experience with Sage/Intacct financial software
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot-tables/v-lookups required)
- Attention to detail
