The Staff Accountant Role
As a Staff Accountant at Peregrine, you will be a key member of our financial operations, accurately maintaining all bookkeeping records. You’ll take ownership and refinement of bookkeeping processes, ensuring financial records are up to date, accurate and compliant. You’ll perform reconciliations, support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, assist with month-end and quarterly closing processes, and identify opportunities to improve processes using technology and automation. Additionally, you’ll provide ad hoc financial support for analyses, tax preparation and special projects to support finance operations in evolving business needs. - You can effectively communicate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for cross-functional teams.
What We Look For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience in staff accounting, with demonstrated expertise in managing bookkeeping records, performing reconciliations, and ensuring accurate systems.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes to optimize cash flow.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements.
- Exposure to startups in high-growth environments is strongly preferred.
- Located in San Francisco, hybrid work is acceptable.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 Annually + Benefits + Equity (if applicable) + Bonus (if applicable)
