Summary:
As the Product Development Coordinator, you will serve as the vital link between our internal Design/Merchandising teams and our overseas manufacturing partners. You will be responsible for the administrative lifecycle of a garment, from managing qualities and color standards to ensuring the accuracy of style packages within our PLM system. Your goal is to ensure that development samples are processed accurately, deadlines are met, and communication remains seamless across all global partners to support the successful execution of our seasonal collections.
Responsibilities:
- Style & Data Management: Create, reveal, and maintain the integrity of style packages in the PLM system, ensuring all design changes are reflected and approved by Merchandising/Design prior to bulk production.
- Overseas Coordination: Manage all daily email communication with overseas partners, ensuring a 24-hour response time. Review weekly Work in Progress (W.I.P.) reports to track submittals and sample status.
- Color & Artwork Operations: Maintain seasonal NRF color codes and Pantone library. Create color cards for internal and customer use. Upload artwork from Design into PLM and ensure strikeoffs are submitted for review.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in weekly meetings with Design and Merchandising to provide status updates on development progress, fabric/trim approvals, and prototype/sales sample status.
- Quality Control & Documentation: Send out submit qualities and color standards, enter all submittal comments into W.I.P., and keep physical and digital files updated with all approved references.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Entry-level position; prior experience or internships in a product development or apparel manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software is a plus. Strong typing and general computer skills are required.
- Knowledge: Understanding of the apparel development process, including trims, fabrics, and the sample approval timeline.

Salary offered will be commensurate with experience. For this New York based position, the expected base salary is $28.00 - $30.00/hour.
