Industrial Engineer II
Job Summary
The Industrial Engineer II will analyze production processes to determine rates and efficiency improvements. In addition, this individual will create and maintain master data, standard costs, routers, and other manufacturing data. Further, the Industrial Engineer II will execute manufacturing improvements. The Industrial Engineer II is the second level within the Industrial Engineer career path.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute strategic improvement projects, in a multi-disciplinary organization, to obtain cost reductions and improved efficiencies, to achieve profitability targets
- Identify process gaps and prioritize these opportunities based on own analysis, and through direction from Manufacturing Operations Manager
- Manage new product standard costing and its cost improvement life cycle, collaborating with Development and Operations functions to achieve objective
- Direct and perform time studies and efficiency analyses on machines and processes, focusing on increasing productivity in all activities
- Create and maintain Baan router and work center product master data and standard cost data when applicable
- Create and maintain processes for life-cycle cost management of projects/programs from inception to completion with periodic review to identify causes for variance
- Determine and plan production equipment and type to meet product demand, cost, and quality goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related subject
- Minimum of 4 – 7 years of relevant experience preferred
- Proficient analytical skills
- Proven ability solving complex problems
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with others
- Knowledge of SAP or other enterprise-wide management software is desirable
- Proficient knowledge of Project Management tools and techniques
- Knowledge of corporate and industry standards
Essential Job Functions
- Must be able to travel by air
- Occasional overseas travel for extended periods as required
- Occasional Domestic Travel as required
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
